Rutherford Cosponsors the Creating Hope Reauthorization Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman John Rutherford (FL-04) cosponsored the Creating Hope Reauthorization Act. This legislation expedites FDA approval of new medications for children suffering from diseases, like cancer, by expanding the priority review voucher program. By allowing the FDA to review these emerging medicines at a faster rate, lifesaving treatments can be made more readily available to sick children across America.
As a member of the Congressional Rare Disease Caucus, Rutherford is working to expand treatment options for patients and eventually find a cure for pediatric cancer and other rare diseases. To learn more about this legislation, please click here.
