VIDEO RELEASE: Rutherford Confronts Secretary Mayorkas

Despite the Administration's claims that the border is secure, recent reports show unprecedented levels of border crossings into the U.S.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, Congressman John Rutherford (FL-05) questioned U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas during a House Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on the department's budget request for Fiscal Year 2024.
"We allow people to invade our country because we do nothing to stop them. All we do is process them more quickly," said Congressman Rutherford. "President Biden's open border policies have made every town a border town and put our constituents, MY constituents, at risk."
