Rutherford Joins Challenge Enterprises Team

I recently spent time with Challenge Enterprises' Shipboard Logistics Team at Mayport Naval Station to load fresh produce onto the USS Billings (LCS 15). During this Rutherford Ride Along, I worked alongside individuals who have benefited from Challenge Enterprises' federal contract work through the AbillityOne program. For more than fifty years, Challenge Enterprises has provided people with different abilities a spectrum of services, including residential support, life skills training, and meaningful employment opportunities.
Meaningful employment is crucial to the American Dream. I'm proud to represent organizations like Challenge Enterprises that create a pathway for those with different abilities to achieve confidence and independence. The success stories shared by the men and women I met during this Rutherford Ride Along are a testament to the positive impact Challenge Enterprises has on our First Coast community. I will continue to be an advocate for programs like AbilityOne that create opportunities for Americans with different abilities to more fully participate in their community!
