Gimenez (FL-26) in introducing the Migrant Protection Protocols Act, which codifies the Trump Administration's "Remain in Mexico" policy that kept migrants in Mexico for the duration of their immigration proceedings instead of being let loose in the country while they await to appear in court.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Today, Congressman John Rutherford (FL-04) applauds the delivery of the first two, of three total, brand new A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at Hurlburt Air Force Base, Florida. These aircraft, assembled in Jacksonville, are essential equipment for AFSOC's Combat Aviation Advisor (CAA) mission, designed to bolster air attack capability for international partner Air Forces.

WASHINGTON, D.C – Today, U.S. Representatives John Rutherford (FL-04) and Al Lawson (FL-05) introduced the Keep Children and Families Safe From Lead Hazards Act. This legislation requires that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) assess annually the risks of lead-based hazards on housing properties receiving federal rental assistance.

Rutherford is seeking answers regarding chartered flights of illegal immigrants landing in Jacksonville, Florida.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Rutherford (FL-04) is proud to introduce H.R. 5707, the Preserving Recreation, Oceans, Tourism, Environment, and Coastal Towns (PROTECT) Florida Act, to prevent drilling off the coast of Florida. This bill creates a drilling moratorium in the South Atlantic and the Straits of Florida and extends until 2032 the existing drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, Congressman John Rutherford (FL-04) and Congressman Al Lawson (FL-05) reintroduced the National POW/MIA Memorial and Museum Act of 2021. This legislation would designate the POW/MIA Memorial and Museum at Cecil Field as the National POW/MIA Memorial and Museum to honor all former prisoners of war and those still missing in action.
