Rutherford Ride Alongs

After a brief pause due to the Coronavirus, I'm happy to say my "Rutherford Ride Alongs" are back! Today I visited Standard Feed & Seed in Northeast Florida to learn more about their day-to-day operations and the challenges they face as a growing business. For the past 73 years, Standard Feed & Seed has provided our community with assistance in gardening, raising livestock and chickens, and taking care of household pets.

This legislation, introduced by Representative Doug Collins (R-GA), would grant authority to the president to place sanctions on the Chinese Communist Party if they do not cooperate with an investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Released annually by the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy and The Lugar Center, the Bipartisan Index measures how well members of Congress work across party lines. In their newly released report, Rutherford ranks 41st out of 437 members of the House and 2nd out of Florida.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives John Rutherford (FL-04), Derek Kilmer (WA-06), and Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-03) introduced H.R. 6207, the Coronavirus Worker Relief Act. This new bipartisan, bicameral legislation would provide disaster unemployment assistance to people who are unable to work due to the current coronavirus outbreak following an emergency declaration by the president.
